| ATI is dead, long life to ATI ! |

Some decisions are difficult to make, even when they are ineluctable. Considering the repeated difficulties that ATI encountered along its 3 years of existence, the team has no choice but to suspend the activity of the organisation. It is obviously not the ideas that drove the creation of Ad Terram Incognitam that are put into question today but, simply and tragically, the lack of financial and human resources are condemning the ambitions the founding members had set into the ATI project.

We have, indeed, given our time for free since 2003, in order, on one hand, to ensure and improve communication through our website between schools from all over the world and, on the other hand, to help the travellers who had decided to get involved into the ATI project prepare their trip, aniticipate their interventions in schools and follow their personal project. We have now reached the end of our period of availability and we are not able any more, for professional reasons, to keep up with our involvement in ATI. Moreover, none of the people travellers, partners, friends and others who have participated in or followed the ATI project are eager to take over, which leaves us with a bitter taste after such an involvement in heart and time.

However, once again, we have no doubts about the relevance of the principles that lead the creation of ATI and we remain convinced that it is possible and we encourage it! to follow our action. Only the way we organised ATI, its structure or our method could be blamed in the process that has lead to the current situation.

Still, what has been done and brought to the children, who have been the principal target of our action from the beginning, can not be ignored. These criteria of satisfaction are counted in smiles, in encouragements, in formulated and achieved dreams, in opened perspectives and planted seeds: it is a little bit and very much at the same time, and we can only recommend whoever might be interested to take back Ad Terram Incognitam. The possibilities of adaptation and improvement are vast: being motivated and sticking to the principles that founded ATI are the only criteria on which candidates will be judged. Dont hesitate to show up!

If, on December 31th, no proposition has been sent to us, the organisation Ad Terram Incognitam will be dissolved.
